Vitamin C is an excellent antioxidant that helps prevent oxidative stress.It also plays an important role in collagen synthesis to prevent scurvy, a vitamin C deficiency disease.
I am a student of food science. Am enthusiastic about healthy nutrition and science. I believe a good health is a gift with which we can accomplish anything in life.However, it's our responsibility to maintain our good health by eating nutritiously. The science behind what we consume and its effects to our health is my major concern."Garbage in Garbage out" though a cliché, emphasizes better. I am sure if we'll be conscious about our dietary requirements, we will indeed kick out some chronic dietary related illnesses.
